Merve Kuruca, MSW, LCSW

Merve is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Social Work from Rutgers University-New Brunswick. She has received training in mental and behavioral health, gambling counseling, and drug and alcohol counseling at Rutgers University and is concurrently pursuing a license in drug and alcohol counseling (LCADC).

Merve's professional experience includes working with adolescents and adults in various settings such as inpatient dual diagnosis treatment facilities, residential substance use treatment facilities, partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient programs for mental and behavioral health, and outpatient substance use treatment facilities.

Merve employs a strength-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed care approach in her work with clients. She incorporates motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) into her practice. Merve is fluent in Turkish.
