Jourdin is a licensed social worker. She earned her Associates degree in Psychology from Rowan College at Burlington County, completing her Bachelors degree in Psycholgoy at Rowan University. Following, she pursued graduate training at Rutgers University earning an Masters degree in Social Work.
Presently, Jourdin is employed full-time at Hampton Behavioral Health where she spent five years as a tehnician in an inpatient unit before being promoted to social worker in their access center/admissions unit where she has spent the last two years. She has prior training in an outpatient setting serving HIV+ adults providing group-based services, case management and crisis intervention experience with college-age students.
While having experience with patients of all ages, she has a strong affinity for working with youth ranging from 12 to 17 years of age with a myriad of mental health issues including, but not limited to anxiety, depression, and psychoses, as well as LGBTQIA+ in crisis. Jourdin's treatment approach draws from modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectial Behavior Therapy, and harm reduction strategies.
Outside of clinical work, she enjoys and spends time reading and attending food festivals.
