Dr. Carew is a licensed clinical psychologist in New Jersey with 25 years of professional experience in the mental health field. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Oberlin College, a Masters degree in Group Counseling & Organizational Dynamics from Drexel University, and both Masters and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her predoctoral internship with the Center for Family Services in their youth residential program and completed her post-doctoral training during her employment with Rutgers University where she served as Forensic Mental Health Clinician for over ten years with the University Correctional Healthcare division providing psychological services to incarcerated youth in the New Jersey Juvenile Justice Commission.
She now devotes herself full-time to Emerge Behavioral Health and her partnership with RR&C Associates, a psychiatric services agency. She serves on the board of the South Jersey Psychological Association and is also a member of the New Jersey Psychological Association.
Dr. Carew is committed to leading the Emerge clinical team to provide quality and compassionate care to youth and adults in the South Jersey community specializing in trauma-specific interventions.
Scott Carew, MPA
Mr. Carew has entered the field of behavioral health after more than 25 successful years in municipal government. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration from the College of New Jersey, and a Masters degree in Public Administration from Kean University.
Scott's work experience includes serving as Township Manager for Moorestown and Eastampton townships in Burlington County, City Administrator for Woodbury in Gloucester County, and presently as the Borough Administrator for Matawan Borough in Monmouth County. He is also an adjunct professor Kean University in the Department of Public Administration. Throughout his career, Scott has developed and implemented ways to provide services to the public in more cost-effective and efficient ways.
Seeing both the tremendous need for effective and comprehensive behavioral health services, as well as the limited resources provided to the professionals in this field, Scott decided apply his abilities and experience, joining his wife to create Emerge Behavioral Health.
