INTENSIVE IN COMMUNITY SERVICES (IIC)

EMERGE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH specializes in helping youth with emotional and behavioral problems with a focus on publicly funded in home treatment therapy for individual youth and their families.  Our in home IIC services are available for residents of Burlington and Mercer counties
in partnership with PerformCare, New Jersey's contracted systems administrator for State funded behavioral health services for youth.

Our services are provided in accordance with the New Jersey Children's System of Care Intensive In-Community treatment goals which are aimed at improving or stabilizing emotional and behavioral functioning within the home and community, and decrease or eliminate behaviors or conditions which can lead to increased risk of deterioration in such environments.

Our services provide in-home interventions that include interaction and instruction, either individually or in a group setting, to the youth or caregiver(s).  If the youth or caregiver prefer to have services outside of the home, this can be arranged with advance notice.

We are a trauma informed care agency employing evidenced based treatment models with a number of our clinicians having received specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Integrative Treatment of Complex Trauma for Adolescents (ITCT-A), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Nurtured Heart approach.

The interventions that we specialize in, include (but are not limited to):
  • Clinical consultation, evaluation, or assessment
  • Individual therapy
  • Family therapy
  • Parenting skill development
  • Anger management
  • Stress reduction
  • Symptom reduction
  • Problem solving and decision making skill development
  • Improving and increasing adaptive and coping skills
  • Psychoeducation regarding mental health, decision making, and management of risk behaviors.
  • Referral to other needed services and resources
